Qrooz is designed for long-term independent living and sailing,
all year round, with the same level of comfort as a modern house. Qrooz has its own 10 kW power supply, has a water tank capacity of 12.000 liters, 3.000 liters of diesel and has a biological waste water cleaning system and can therefore spend a very long time without utilities.
Engines
Qrooz
is powered by 2 Steyr 85 HP engines. These engines provide
big achievements, low noise and high comfort. The electronic engine
management, combined with the most modern techniques, results in very low
emission values and low fuel consumption. More powerfull engines are optional.
The powerful bow and stern thrusters provide easy maneuvering in small spaces whilst docking.
Power supply
An
extensive set of batteries equipped with Victron converters guarantees a stable
and continuous power supply just like at home. Electric oven,
dishwasher, washer, dryer: Qrooz is equipped for all of it as standard.
The Victron converters and battery chargers work with the generator to
ensure that the batteries remain topped up completely automatically.
Solar panels on the roof are optional.
Heating
Qrooz is heated using Jaga "low H2O" radiators: 12% more efficient. The Viessmann condensing heating system has a nominal efficiency of 98%.
Emissions fall substantially below the limits required for the "Blue
Angel" certificate of environmental excellence and the Swiss Clean Air
Act. A combined 130 liter boiler provides warm water.
Waste water
Qrooz is equipped with an IBA-system (individual waste water treatment) for biological cleaning of waste water. The system provides natural cleaning and discharging of waste water.
