Disclaimer and additional route info
| This route was put together with care. However, Qrooz is not responsible for errors of any kind. Allways exercise prudent seamanship, which includes: prepare a voyage plan that includes possible shelter/deviation ports, ensure you have the most recent weather information, ensure your maps are up-to-date and on board, and ensure you possess the right certificates to be legally allowed to sail Qrooz. For most European waters, an International Certificate of Competence is sufficient, for the River Rhine additional requirements are in place. Qrooz is designed, built and outfitted according to CE-class C, which means you can sail Qrooz up and including a wind force of Beaufort 6 and with waves up to and including 2 metres of significant wave height. The aforementioned itinerary includes a small part of the German Bight. The German Bight is known for its sudden changes in waveheight the moment the weather deteriorates. It's recommended to take the inner route (only at high water) close to the shore. The lowest bridges encountered on this trip are 3.80 meters high, so at some bridges the antenna mast will have to be lowered. |
